FALCON COMMUNICATIONS, INC. DELIVERS DIGITAL TRAILER TO ALLTEL IN BATON ROUGE, LOUISIANA DUE TO HURRICANE KATRINA

Stephanie Eason with Alltel in Little Rock, Arkansas place an emergency call to Falcon Communications Wednesday, August 31. Alltel has two switches in Kenner, Louisiana that serve New Orleans and Baton Rouge. The switch for Baton Rouge was barely functioning after Hurricane Katrina. Alltel requested a trailer equipped with a wireless switch for remote cellular service for Baton Rouge for emergency restoration in case the second switch went down.

Falcon's President, Don Cook, Senior Vice President, Steve Michel, and the Falcon team started the process of getting a trailer ready for Alltel. The mobile trailer was completed and delivered Monday, September 5.

The Digital Trailer Program is not only available for disaster situations, but Falcon offers mobile trailers equipped with customer requirements for cutovers, equipment outages, upgrades, additions, and start-ups.
